House Removals in Great Missenden

Great Missenden is a Chilterns village in the Misbourne valley, twenty miles south of Leighton Buzzard through Aylesbury and Wendover. It is best known as Roald Dahl's home village, and its High Street of listed cottages, small shops and the Dahl museum draws visitors all year. The village itself is compact, with period property on the High Street and Church Street, Victorian and Edwardian houses on the London Road and station side, and a great many large detached houses in the wooded lanes up the valley sides and in neighbouring Prestwood.

This is Chilterns work: narrow lanes, steep drives, mature trees over the road and houses that were built for space. We bring a van that fits and a crew that can carry, and we survey the larger moves first so the day is planned rather than improvised. From Great Missenden we also cover Prestwood, Little Missenden, Ballinger, South Heath and the Lee.

Local knowledge that saves you time and money in Great Missenden

• High Street and Church Street: listed cottages, restricted parking and visitors. We agree a loading spot in advance.
• London Road and the station side: Victorian houses with stairs and a busy road outside.
• Prestwood and the lanes above the valley: large houses, gravel drives and gate codes.
• Little Missenden and the Misbourne valley: single-track roads with passing places, where a shorter van is the right choice.
