How far ahead should I book a house move?
Two weeks is comfortable, and more for a Friday or a month end. If your completion date moves we will do our best to move with it.
Do you provide boxes and packing materials?
Yes, we can supply boxes, tape, paper and bubble wrap ahead of your move, and we can pack for you if you would rather not do it yourself.
What if my completion is delayed on the day?
We build waiting time into the quote and we will stay with the loaded van until keys are released. If it runs into a second day we will talk to you about it honestly rather than surprise you with a bill.
How many boxes will my house need?
A two bedroom house is usually 40 to 60 boxes, a three bedroom house 70 to 100, and a four bedroom house 120 or more. We bring extra, and you pay for the move rather than per box.
Can you pack the house for me?
Yes. We pack the day before the move for most houses, or over two days for a larger one. You can book the whole house or only the rooms you want help with. The kitchen and the loft are the two we are asked for most.
Can you pack only the kitchen?
Yes. Part packing costs less than a full house and is common. Leave anything you do not want packed in one room, or mark it with a sticky note, and we will work around it.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry goods in transit and public liability insurance and we are happy to send the details when you enquire.
